Random shots

Just some random shots from the past two weeks. Erin has finally shown some interest in Cailin and it's all positive. Can't say it's all the time as most of the time she just ignores her but every once in awhile there's love.

Come on Mom - the pool pleeeeeeeeeassseeee! Can't you see the bucket is too small for me now !

Erin learns to float- she so funny in the pool - LOVES IT. This is my favourite pic - very important for children to learn to float. Hasn't given up the pen in her left hand- talented indeed.

Now onto more fun stuff. CANNON BALL !!! And the photo that makes Paul so proud.
First Surfing lesson.
Night time swim - Erin needs the wetsuit - What do I know.

Halloween

Our carved pumpkin. Erin still wasn't into it too much but she did like the finished product. Pumpkin cost $9 this year !
It was 97 degrees so we had to roll the sleeves up.

Little miss princess. The crown didn't last long.
Halloween is no where near as popular as it is in America but you can find pockets where people really get into it. Erin went trick-or-treating for the first time. There is a street in Clovelly(about 10min drive) where trick-or-treaters go and the houses that are giving out candy (lollies) are decorated so you know which ones to go too.
This is the first house that we went to, Erin thought she was being offered the entire bowl of candy - I was lucky enough to capture the moment. By the third house I was waiting on the sidewalk while she ran to the front door. When I asked her to say Thank you her reply was "I already did" and off she ran- too much...........Then enjoying the loot.
Finally, only in Australia. A couple set up shop at the end of their drive way and popped open a $90 bottle of Champagne to hand out candy. Now that is my kind of Trick-or-Treating.

Cailin Smiles

I can remember Erin's first smile, it was at 4 weeks and 4 days. Cailin is only 8 weeks old and I "think" she started to smile around 4 weeks old- how terrible am I ??

Erin turns Two - Mom and Dad turn Grey

Erin celebrated her second birthday on the 5th of October.

It was a quiet day but she was showered in gifts and all her favorite things. She received balloons, a chocolate Boost smoothie, cupcakes and a gingerbread man cookie all before lunch time ! I made her a Shrek cake - a strange thing for a two year old to like but whatever works. She loves her new play cottage and it has become the place where we have to do everything.

This past weekend our Mother's Group held a combined 2yr old birthday party at a local park and Erin had a ball. Not sure the dress that Aunt Karen gave her faired too well but Erin loved wearing it. Here are some pics of the day.
